At Bologna’s Giardino Donatori di Sangue, beside the Comini neighbourhood centre, the Com’in project plans to turn sixty square metres of asphalt into green space. On 25 September, the council announced three work sessions open to residents, with shrubs and ground-cover plants, which spread across the soil. [1]

The schedule runs from 26 September to 10 October, on three Saturdays between 9am and 1pm: first removing asphalt and preparing the ground, then creating beds and planting, finally adding furniture. This is the organisers’ published programme, not an account of work already completed. We have not verified the first session. [1][2]

Com’in was selected through Navile’s 2023 participatory budget, a process in which residents help decide which projects receive funding. The council records that a new playground has already been completed. The final phase adds a small, specific piece of shared work and care; it provides no measured evidence here of effects on heat or rainfall. [1][3]
