Cattolica has inaugurated a local court assistance office, the first in the province of Rimini according to the municipal report published on 27 October. It is on the ground floor of Palazzo Mancini, at 5 Piazza Roosevelt. The service is due to start on 4 November, with appointments on Wednesdays from 9am to 1pm. [1]

The office will provide information and assistance with certain non-contentious court applications, known in Italy as volontaria giurisdizione. Municipal examples include requests for the appointment of a support administrator and authorisations from a guardianship judge. Free guidance on support administration and electronic submission of the related documents are planned. [2]

The municipality, court and Emilia-Romagna region are collaborating within a national project coordinated by the Ministry of Justice. It aims especially to help older people, people with disabilities and those who find digital forms difficult. The inauguration has taken place; regular service has yet to begin, and there are no results on its use. [1][2]
