Stesso Campo was presented in Livorno on 25 September. Developed by Sintomi di Felicità with Libertas Pallavolo Livorno, it is the idea of national-team athlete Giulia Aringhieri. The aim is to build a city sitting volleyball team involving people with and without disabilities: a programme getting started, not an already established team. [1]

Sitting volleyball is played seated: players move along the floor, in teams of six, on a smaller court with a lower net than standing volleyball. The International Paralympic Committee describes a sport requiring speed, technique and coordination. [2]

The first announced event is on 3 October at 10am at Magazzini Generali, via della Cinta Esterna 48/50. It offers a chance to try the sport and meet athletes and coaches, with further open sessions and gym activities planned. The council and partner Shipping Services Italia describe the project; as promoters, they do not provide an independent assessment of its future results. [1][3]
