An account published by the World Bank on 23 September describes results from CONECTA Negócios in Mozambique. By April 2026, the institution reports, more than 7,000 micro-enterprises and around 700 small and medium-sized firms had completed targeted training. [1]

The project combines grants with technical assistance. One example is Madopera Comercial, which makes maize flour in Cabo Delgado: the company reports increasing its production capacity and doubling its workforce. Training also addresses management, processes and access to markets. [1]

The World Bank, which supports the project, reports more than 960 new or improved jobs: they are not all newly created positions. These are programme figures reported by its funder. The account acknowledges that conflict and instability continue to disrupt businesses in the region. [1]
