In Turin, the Italian Institute of Technology and Politecnico di Torino inaugurated an energy-transition hub at Environment Park on 11 September. The CNR’s 14 September account describes 5,000 square metres of laboratories and a total investment exceeding €55 million, combining Italian recovery-plan funding with private resources. [1]

The hub combines iENTRANCE, closer to basic research, with CoSyET, focused on validating technologies and transferring them to businesses. IIT describes five pilot lines covering areas including hydrogen, carbon dioxide, energy storage and control systems. These facilities support the development and testing of solutions; the announcement does not measure emissions reductions already delivered by the new hub. [2]
