England’s New Forest National Park is finalising agreements to renew the New Forest Tour. A report for the 2 November committee meeting sets out four new electric open-top buses, charging infrastructure and a £2.27 million grant administered by Hampshire County Council. [1]

Plans include step-free lower-deck access, updated passenger information and an operating arrangement lasting at least ten years. The existing Tour lets passengers hop on and off along three routes; the authority lists its 2026 season as 4 July to 13 September. [1][2]

The report concerns agreements with the funder and operator Go South Coast that still need finalising, with legal and contractual checks outstanding. It does not establish that the four buses have been delivered or that forecast environmental benefits have been measured. [1]
