On 19 October, the World Health Organization announced the Global Breast Cancer Initiative training manual. It is intended for programme and service managers, with materials adaptable to national, local and facility levels. Its aim is to help healthcare teams organise more coordinated care pathways. [1]

Modules cover areas including early detection, diagnosis, service management, health products and patient navigation. WHO reports work with partners in Ethiopia, Eswatini and the Philippines to adapt materials and training. The news is the resource’s availability: it is not a new treatment or evidence of improved survival already achieved. [1]
