In its 17 September update, Rimini’s city council reports that six young people with disabilities live in the Turchetta shared-housing project on Via Popilia. Supported by educators, they share shopping, cooking and household tasks. The account also describes independent journeys for work and leisure and announces another year of the trial. This is the promoter’s assessment, not an independent study of the model’s effectiveness. [1]

The programme also covers workplace skills: a 30 June decision by ASP Valloni Marecchia records the start of procurement for project workshops and placements. The document places these activities within Italy’s recovery-plan programme supporting independence for people with disabilities; it does not, by itself, establish how many placements have taken place.
