Avigliana’s municipality announced on 28 October that refurbishment of the Casa del Popolo at Piazza del Popolo 1 was complete. The building will house local police, the registry office and municipal tax services. The public opening ceremony is scheduled for Friday 30 October at 11am and has not yet taken place. [1]

The work reorganised interior spaces and, according to the municipality, removed accessibility barriers. Windows were replaced, the heating system upgraded and the roof rebuilt with insulation. The project forms part of the integrated urban plans financed by Italy’s recovery programme for the Susa and Sangone valleys. [1]

This is therefore news of a refurbished building and an upcoming institutional opening. The announcement does not yet measure changes in service waiting times or energy consumption: those require later evidence. [1]
